“Only after painting this so spontaneously I realised that I painted my own eyes, my big emotional eyes. Growing up I kept all my thoughts and feelings inside as if I had no mouth to speak. I got used to being in the closet so scared of coming out and letting my religious family down, until today. This painting is about my secret my silence and putting what's behind those eyes out there”.
