Bio
Emily Tatford Biography Emily Tatford is a young British contemporary artist specialising in Body Art; predominantly focusing on the female form. Emily is a London College of Fashion (University of the Arts London), and University of South Wales alumni, studying Fashion Business and Art and Design respectively. Emily’s body of work has a focus on femininity and sensuality, using colour play through the use of bright, bold hues and complementary colours. Emily is in an experimental period of her artistic career, currently developing a ‘platform of good’ by creating pieces that participate in, and evoke conversation of, normalizing bodies of all shapes and sizes - deliberately contradicting the societal norms of the ideal body. Emily has named this her Body Image Series, which is a combination of small and large pieces of a range of anonymous, diverse muses of different races, shapes, ages, sizes, genders, sexualities etc. A percentage of all of Emily’s profits are invested into charity donations, mostly of which go to Beat Eating Disorder Charity; a charity which personally supported Emily as a young adult.
