My name is Barbro Pedersen Bismo and I was born in 1971. I live in the northern part of Norway, Bø in Vesterålen. I am educated and have worked until 2009, as a sosial worker. As long as I can remember I have enjoyed drawing and painting, and I've always been drawn towards different colors and shapes in the nature. I am a self taught artist. I had to quit my job in 2009, because of ill health, and then I started to paint for real. Over the years I have taken courses and developed my techniques. The beautiful colors and raw nature that I live in, inspires me a lot. I love to paint intuitively and mostly abstract, based on emotions, mood and inner images. I use acrylics, oil and mixed media in my paintings. I' ve had several separate exhibitions in Norway, and last june I participated in Vienna , MUSA, WE Contemporary.
