Frida Leiding I am a self-taught oil painter based in Sweden. I started painting as a hobby while I was writing my bachelor’s thesis in art history. I was looking for something to clear my head and to just zone out for an hour. I found painting truly therapeutic and here I am years later and still loving it. It has really changed my perception of the world in the most beautiful way. I’m currently focusing on landscape paintings such as seascapes and cloudscapes using oil paints. I like the traditional aspect and the slow pace of the medium. My inspiration comes from nature and I mostly focus on the contrast in lightness and darkness when I paint. I like my art to have a softness and simplistic look to them, but still have an element of that striking contrast. I hope you like it!
