Jessica Gómez BIOGRAPHY I was born in Monterrey, N.L. Since I was little, I have always liked the artistic side, especially drawing.I studied Graphic Design at the University of Monterrey. This is where I learned to have a more developed artistic and aesthetic sense and to acquire some technical knowledge. Although I have never taken a face drawing course, without a doubt all these experiences in my studies have helped me develop the ability to draw by dissociating between what I see and what I know, an essential key to drawing a face. I consider myself a self-taught artist, which has allowed me to develop my own style. You don't decide to specialize in a specific artistic medium, art chooses you. I started drawing faces in pencil as a hobby, I discovered that it was my true passion and I made it my profession. The art of drawing a human face, the difficulty of capturing the expression in a glance is what attracts me the most. In each of my portraits I seek to convey a story, convey an emotion and leave memories that will last a lifetime.
