Michal Vilhelmer is a self-taught painter from Spain, Huesca. “I've been painting all my life for fun, but I always cared about understanding the techniques and getting to photograph the ide-as built in my mind. I don't limit myself, I don't choose a style, I like to create freely, but in gen-eral I lean towards surrealism and hyperrealism. This year, I decided to give a touch of fantasy to my latest works, my imagination has permission to be wild. Sometimes I look at nothing and suddenly the ideas appear, like a fragrance in the air. I try to create in my works the dissonant elements, to break the daily behavior in order to stop what is usually an interrupted fluid of the common events, which are cataloged in the mind by reason. I like to create without planning, I like when ideas come by surprise. In my last two years, I accumulated many writings about my future pins. Now, I just have to move the brush...”
