The theme of My Work is: “Shining Creatures”
My work centers around creatures I have encountered, particularly tigers and cats.
I became especially interested in tigers after meeting a Sumatran tiger.
Through this experience, I learned that the global tiger population has declined drastically in the past 100 years — from around 100,000 to just about 3,000 — putting them at serious risk of extinction (source: WWF).
By portraying these luminous beings, I hope to express the profound connection between life and nature. I believe that the issue of endangered animals reflects deeper problems within human society, and I aim to keep exploring this theme through my art.
Born in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.
Currently based in Yokosuka.
