My name is Jordan Kreikemeier and I am an abstract contemporary artist and painter based in Chicago, Illinois. I started my painting journey a little over a year ago during the pandemic as a hobby, and found it to be a release from the stress of the normal day to day and everything going on around the globe that is out of my control. I found painting to be an intense passion that led me to continue expanding in my skill and creativity. My inspiration comes from the amazing women in my life, nature, and the unseen. I am grateful for the opportunity to grow alongside other amazing artists and creatives, and share my visions with the world. The intention of my abstract paintings is to promote creative expression, invoke enthusiasm, optimism, and genuine release of emotions- I invite you to be bold and unapologetically you! I work primarily with acrylic paint on canvas, and have been dabbling in mixed media to see what else peaks my interest. My recent projects of 2021 are focused around the woman figure and celebrating the woman body; floral bouquets; and abstract, bold, contemporary pieces.
