Description
In this body of work, I’ve tried to depict the figure in her environment. These depictions are both of real and imagined locations. They are places that were seen, and places never visited. The dichot-omy of natural against flesh is of particular interest to me. Both subjects are at contrast with one another. But ultimately, they fuse to reflect the union of person and place. The textures are pressed and played against each other as a reflection of this relationship.
