Currently my work reflects my interest in structures that have been abandoned and left to the forces of na-ture. Through their loss of use and eventual fall they are transformed into sculptural elements that carry a history and tell a story of people’s interaction with them, both past and present. I often use the imagery of these structures as motifs to begin a work, and through the process of painting they become a vehicle for expressing a variety of ideas, emotions, and memories.
