The characteristic feature of this nude is the power of the shadows that bring out the forms of the woman, in a recollected, almost foetal position, as if wanting to hide in the shadows (from life itself) and instead enhanced by powerful chiaroscuro (the light of the feminine strength). The female figure, although in the foreground, does not shy away from the reassuring embrace of her surroundings to which she is united in a harmonious relationship.
