Marília Henriques was born in 1952, in Lisbon, Portugal. Exhibiting since 1977.
In 1981 won from the Art Gallery Casino Estoril - Portugal an Art Honorable Mention Award.
The last two decades she left the Studio she shared with others artists and painters in Lisbon, and left to live in the north of Portugal, staying away from the public. The last tree years she started to allegorical painting, with bright colours, where the dreamlike mixes with the reality, the goal is to tell a story. The painter is preparing at the moment a new project with an enigmatic subject, where the ‘paradise’ is protected by monsters.
