Torhild Frøydis Eid Torhild Frøydis Eid was born in 1961 in Kristiansand, currently living in Son , Norway. Torhild Frøydis worked a navy officer yet as the service was getting increasingly demanding, she chose to leave. Her inner voice urged her to explore and prosess things. As a result , she turned to mindfullness and painting. Torhild Frøydis is a passionate painter, and she loves to experiment with colors and techniques. She attended her first painting course in 2017- 8. Currently following two online courses, and this autumn she will attend an art class with a known painter.She always aims at creating high-quality artworks and as improving her skills, especially in mixed media tecniques. Sources of inspiration for her work are the nature, the sea, the sky, the light, and the music, in which she finds great joy, happiness, and mindfullness. In her paintings she seeks to transfer these inner sensations to the canvas. While the music is playing - she surrendes - and lets the brush intuitively play over the canvas-and the result often unique and unexspected! Torhild Frøydis aims for her painting to awake and to remind to the observer of all the beauty in life- as well as offer moments of joy and mindfullness! Torhild Frøydis has attended 9 group exhabitions and this summer she also participated in «Nordic Art Group Exibition>> with «Artportable» in Stockholm, Sweden. Torhild Frøydis artworks was published in Issue 21 of « Spotlight Contemporary Art Magazine» by Circle Foundation (oct 2020) , and in Issue 5 of « Current Masters» by World Wilde Art Books ( Now 2020). Torhild Frøydis received the « Future Artist Reward» by «International Contemporary Curator Magazine» ( nov 2020). Her artworks are purchased by private collectors.
