A NEW CONCEPTION OF UNIQUE ART CONNECTED TO PEOPLE & PLACES OF LIFE
Maintaining a strong link with nature and places since childhood, Séverine Camus naturally dedicates her creations to spaces of life and to the Humans who evolve there. According to her, art should not be used to show one's wealth but to reveal one's inner richness. She draws her inspiration from the living in the broad sense, her dreams, or the unconscious. Passionate about the human being and its psychic functioning, she addresses the soul of Humans and seeks to blend her works in their environment while magnifying the spaces. She mixes the abstract, the figurative or the geometric and can use different mediums on the same work, having for predilection the Indian ink both powerful and sensual. She seeks lines, contrasts, and confrontations of style because the world is made of reliefs and permanent changes. She constantly explores, making each work an experience that bears its number. She speaks of nature, humanity, and the unconsciousness of the psyche. She can work on a creation during many years, believing that art is like the world, constantly changing. A creation is for her over when the eye can be lost every day to infinity. There, it becomes "artwork".

Pushed towards an artistic eclecticism that is vital to her, Séverine reveals her work through creations that follow each other and vary with a tireless experimental curiosity. She obeys only her inspiration, her perceptions of the invisible and her imagination, refusing herself no quest. The creations of Séverine Camus, an author by the way, are intimately linked to writing, philosophy and symbolism. Shapes and letters mingle in metaphors, language from the depths of the unconscious.
