<Metaphor for a Thinking Being>
Description
It is said that on a New Year’s Day or special occasions, the Joseon Dynasty court in Korea sent a bag of roasted beans wrapped in red paper to their relatives, and the meaning of the bag is derived form the fact that those who carry the pouch will receive blessings throughout the year.
I used the metaphor of the function of the original thing, that is, the substance rather than the essence of the thing, as a human being.
I find it more interesting to deviate from the original function of an object and to compose a screen such as a sculpture that can have different perceptions of the reality of an object in relation to human beings.
Therefore, it is a strictly anthropocentric point of view, and matter is a metaphor for the language it wants to express.
The interpretation of the work is left to the viewer.
The scope of perception wants the viewer to reconsider the metaphor of things directly into language.
