What do Kenyan prisoners, Business Leaders and ALL OF US have in common? We all have complex, fascinating and rich inner lives. Inma has worked with thousands of people getting glimpses of their inner realities. Some of her paintings capture some of the textures, colours and essence of these amazing inner lives. Other paintings capture the raw beauty, passion and alive-ness that she sees all around her.
Inma Luna was born in 1975 Malaga (Andalucia, Spain), and like her land, flamenco, dance and passion run in her veins. She started creating contemporary art at the age of 12, she then kept her painting for her own private viewing until 2016 when she joined an art studio at Exeter UK. In 2020 she joined an Art2Life workshop, followed by the Creative Visionary programme. Cur-rently, she is a member of the Art2Life Academy.
Her process is alive, spontaneous, full of curiosity, play and adventure—this mirrors her process of living. The colours of her paintings are bright and fully saturated, representing the vibrancy of Life itself. And using thick layers of paint, she creates a story over the canvas for the eyes and fingertips to feast on. Her artistic voice is loud and unapologetic.
She has exhibited in the Phoenix Centre in Exeter (collective exhibition), Van Gogh Gallery in Madrid (Spain) and in the International Contemporary Art Fair in Innsbruck (Austria). Recently she has been contacted by other European Galleries and currently, she is working with an on-line Japannese art Gallery.
