Bio
BIO:
Kawai Megumi has been facing the question “Why do people live?” since she was a child.
She started painting as She felt that the structure of society had changed drastically due to the new coronavirus pandemic.
Under the theme “Hell's Enma is also made of love”, she questions a society that places emphasis only on productivity and efficiency and disregards people's happiness.
Her paintings are painted with vibrant colors, mainly black, gold, and red, and powerful touches. Her works, which at first glance seem grotesque and poisonous, express her state of mind, which accepts all the negative and positive aspects of life.
MeguArt is a space created by her, who has a free sensibility that is not bound by rules or common sense, and releases the energy and soul inherent in humans.
