Bio

Linda Meyer “The butterfly is only beautiful because the caterpillar is brave“ (T.M.T). And that is why just a couple of years ago, at the age of 33, German mixed media artist Linda Meyer decided to have the courage to turn back to her very first love: art. With no kind of any artistic training, she has always been a creative spirit, driven by emotions, experiences and feelings that cannot be put into words. “Those who make art, don´t need a therapist”, she says. Her style is dark and a bit messy, but also very colorful. Her art is described as brave, interesting and graceful. Linda Meyers´s works often show portraits of women and are inspired by artistic photography. Being a versatile person, she finds it hard to settle for a certain style, but it seems that she has now found her own very unique style, combining scribbling technique with acrylic painting (though paint brushes are rarely used). When Linda Meyer paints, she allows herself to be led by the music that she listens to while she is painting. Most of the time, she names her works after the songs that she listened to while she was painting, reflecting her current emotional state. All of Linda Meyer´s works are originals. Exhibitions: November 2018 – “4-Tage-Galerie” – Oldenburg, Germany (group show) April 2019 - “Equinox” - NYA gallery, New York, USA (group show) June-August 2019 – Socks Gallery Berlin, Germany (solo show) July 2019 - “Conceptual” - NYA gallery, New York, USA (group show) November 2019 – “4-Tage-Galerie” – Oldenburg, Germany (group show)
