They met at a photo exhibition in January 2004. Their shared love of photography led them to marry on day 0, without even a wedding ceremony or ring exchange. We only have wedding photos taken in my room. We have been living in Tokyo since the spring of 2004. We moved to Shimane Prefecture in 2012. For the past 20 years, the couple has been taking snapshots of the city, people, and family in both Tokyo and Shimane, with a Leica camera and a compact digital camera in hand.

Statement of Noriko Koike
“In 2024, my husband was involved in an accident and fell unconscious, and he remains hospitalized. My first thought was, ”I want to see the photos my husband left behind.“ He left behind many family photos, which were filled with happiness. Our wedding photos caught the eye of a publisher, and on May 29, 2025, a photo essay titled ふうふ写真散歩”A Couple's Photo Walk“ was published. What is a couple? What is a family? What is happiness? I hope that you can feel something from our photos”
