Since I was born in 1993 in a snowy country in Japan, I have never been deeply exposed to art, except for my classes at school. My major in college was also in medicine, so my knowledge and experience in art is not that deep.

However, I was born with synesthesia, the ability to perceive each letter or word as a unique color. As an adult, I wanted to make use of this characteristic in my own unique way, so I started writing poetry. After becoming a writer, I became even more fascinated with the world of poetry and started running a poetry atelier called "ATELIER SUI", de-signing apparel using words, publishing poetry books, and creating accessories.

For me, writing poetry and painting are very similar, as I feel color in every letter and word. Therefore, it was natural for me to expand my world from poetry to painting. It was only last fall that I started to express my inner world as a painting.

I am also a licensed psychological counselor. In the process of psychological counseling, it is very important to have clients output their unspoken feelings and thoughts in their own way. I believe that art can play a role in this output, and I offer a unique service that inte-grates art and counseling.
