My name is Reinhold Hahn. I live on the green outskirts of Berlin, I'm married, and have an adult son. I was born in Apolda, a small town in beautiful Thuringia. I studied at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences, where I majored in business administration – not art. Still today, I'm professionally involved in business and finance. Art came into my life many years ago. In the beginning, I was inspired by photography. In the process of developing my own black-and-white images, I discovered the power of colour – and it has kept me spellbound ever since. A vigorous brushstroke in dark red on heavy canvas puts me in a pleasantly motivated, stimulating mood – like a fine wine. I consider the opportunity to paint and create sculptures as a great fortune and a major privilege in my life.
