Bio
Oriana Armand, Venezuelan artist who manages to leave her country in the most critical mo-ments of the Venezuelan dictatorship. After long trips and sleepless nights, she meets her family and settles down as a student in Miami Florida, where she focuses her art by expressing the mixed feelings of the Women behind the dreams. Women who by the difficulties of authoritarian regimes, manage to impose resilience, while still transmitting the dark and illusory episode that frames them forever. Some people define her work as an abstract figurative expressionism; be-cause through the stains of color, strokes, lines and faces she shares the pain, confusion and de-nial, that gives freedom to the viewer to go into the piece and feel what they observe. Currently, Armand has won the New York International Fine Art Competition 2021, with his piece “Desper-tando de un sueño Andaluz’’ and her other pieces such as ''Detrás de los sueños'' and ''Diva-gando por las calles'' will be exhibited in Context Art Gallery, Italy.
