Hello, my name is Janne-Matti Holm. I ́m a 37 years old man born and raised in Finland. I started to draw and paint when I was seven years old. Back then exploring art history books and drawing copies of the paintings by renowned artists were among my favorite activities. Later, painting became a way of life along with my studies and profession as an engineer. I further developed my style and started to find my own expression. To me, trips to major art museums became even more important activity than participating in art courses. I continued reading and studying the history of the visual arts as well as exploring various painting techniques. Alongside with my work and other hobbies, I have managed to put together a couple art exhibitions in my hometown Turku. I still derive my passion from art history and traveling which I find the most determining factors when creating art. I especially enjoy combining classical subjects with surprising factors like humor or surreal-ism resulting to an outcome which is characteristic to me.
