I am a painter - a modern-day Finnish surrealist. I come origin from Pori, since then I have lived in Helsinki, Porvoo and even short period in Milan. Today I work in Turku, where I live with my beloved family. My working method is traditional oil and acrylic painting and my passion is composing cinematic surreal scenes on canvas. My world of pictures is char-acterized by Finnish sea, archipelago and lake landscapes, weightlessly floating Wind fac-tories and other surprising details.
My goal is to create an inviting alternative world that is not far from our familiar world, however. Appropriately distorted world where everything is in a nice balance but in a strange one. I use familiar elements in my paintings to make them easy to approach.
The Wind Factories is propably my best theme so far. I love everything about it! I was so enthusiastic and creative when this spectacular world of strange Wind Factories carried me away. It happend several years ago, but I’m still on it. I’m guiding my self and specta-tors even further and further on this twisted world I happend to create by my self. All the time our world resolves around us and I’m taking care of everyday tasks and responcibles, but still finding new ways to explore my very own world - The unique and meaning full world of the Wind factories -
Imagine that human made factories are creating the Wind! Without these amazing ma-chines there wouldn’t be wind at all. Think what would happen!
