Biography
Flower Designer Miyu (美夢) is a Japanese flower artist, born in Tokyo and raised in Kyoto, Japan.
Her fields of activity include Flower Art, kimono dress design, wedding bouquets, venue decoration, international art exchange, IAPA Plus Aroma Styling, fashion modeling, and the management of child welfare facilities.
Miyu creates her own unique form of Flower Art by combining flowers, jewelry, fashion, and traditional Japanese culture.
She has had a special affection for flowers since childhood, when she was surrounded by and deeply familiar with their beauty. Over time, however, flowers came to hold an even deeper personal meaning. During her 30s and 40s, Miyu experienced the deaths of friends’ children and young preschoolers. She offered flowers to her grieving friends as a way of expressing sympathy and bringing comfort during moments of profound loss.
These experiences led her to reflect more deeply on the power of flowers and their relationship with life. She subsequently witnessed the loss of many lives through earthquakes, COVID-19, and other epidemics, experiencing profound sadness that at times made it difficult to imagine moving forward. Through these experiences, she began to ask herself what she could do to support those who were grieving and offer them encouragement. She came to believe in the life force of flowers and in their ability to bring healing, hope, and emotional strength to both herself and others.
Since then, Miyu has sought to convey peace, the beauty of flowers, and healing through her artistic activities and international cultural exchange. In 2024, she participated in the Beauty Japan speech contest, where she shared her thoughts and feelings about the power of flowers with a wider audience. The following year, she participated in Beauty Japan Global Paris Runway 2025, continuing to communicate her message internationally through art, fashion, and flowers.
Since presenting her works in Paris in 2025, she has exhibited internationally in France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, Malta, and other countries. She has also participated in various national and international artistic and cultural exchange projects, including the International Peace Art Exhibition, the Japan-France Friendship Exhibition in Versailles, MINERVA 2026, and JAPAN WEEK.
Her achievements and recognitions include the French International Art Award, the Japan-France Friendship Award, Honorary Membership of the RBA Artists Association, recognition at the Taipei International Stamp Exhibition, and the 1st BM ART AWARD 2026.
Miyu has also presented her work through GXMILANO Collection Flower Bouquet and CMG Paris Fashion, where kimono-clad dress models presented the Flower Macaron Bouquet.
She views flowers not simply as decoration, but as an art form capable of connecting people’s hearts across borders. Her artistic world is based on the themes of “Flowers and Jewels,” “Japan and Europe,” and “Tradition and Modernity,” expressing an elegant and fantastical vision through the beauty of flowers. Through her work, she hopes to share the life force of flowers with people around the world and create connections that transcend borders, cultures, and languages.
