Description:
Icelandic Spars in real life are cube type crystals that are thought to aid in higher awareness, insight, and psychic abilities. There is also legend that they were used to help Vikings navigate their ships. While painting this piece, it felt very grounding and earthly, however the final piece feels like something larger. Ultimately this painting represents three worlds that humanity navigates through; a reflection of the environmental damage and bad that we cause, the natural beauty and earthly wonders that can still be found, and then a higher ethereal world beyond the reality of both of these.
