The following canvases show my explorations of red (rojo). The use of and meaning of this colors ranges from the spiritual, sensual and to the sublime. The symbolism of becomes Biblical in the paintings of Muse on the Table, where the model reimagines herself as a modern Eve partaking of the Forbidden Fruit. Red becomes the symbol of the exotic East as the model envelopes herself in the paintings, Amanda in Morocco. Finaly red is symbolic of the private and personal relationship as the models’ nail polish in Emma Feet. Please Enjoy.
