Sara Daag, also known as “Art by Sara Dee”, is a self-taught abstract artist living right outside of Stockholm, Sweden on the island Lidingö. She works with different media, mostly epoxy and acryl-ic. She gets her inspiration from her feelings, memories, subconscious and conscious thoughts and the environment and then transforms it all into colors and shapes. Her art is an expression of emotions, and she varies between picking a specific feeling from a memory to explore and then express, or just to let the mood she is in now lead her creativity. She hardly ever uses paintbrush-es but instead sponges, palette knives and even her fingers to express her art feeling it makes her closer to her genuine self. She lets her feelings guide her in the process and the painting unfolds itself in front of her on the canvas. Her ambition is to create art that awakes curiosity and emotions.
