Time leaves traces in many ways. Facades fade off, plaster falls off walls, dirt accumulates and water leaves stains, rust and patina develop. When it appears to decay, something new emerges: exciting surface structures and fascinating color compositions. The beauty is often not immediately recognizable. You have to take a closer look. These traces of changes inspire the artist in her work.
Especially in a time when nothing and nobody should age, her pictures should show the exciting facets and hidden beauty that change and decay bring with them.
Often she uses details of her own photographs of lost places as an idea for the composition of the paintings. The paintings are created in many operations in which layers are produced, painted over or scratched out. She works with a wide variety of materials such as marble flower, ashes, self-designed papers, wood or metal parts. As a painting medium she mainly uses acrylic paints, airbrush paints, coffee and real rust. She particularly loves rust which is a typical contemporary witness of transience.
