Michael W. Surber is an award-winning Ohio based artist known for his paintings, murals, and his cosplay persona ‘Expo Wolverine’. From a young age, He has always had a desire for the arts in all its forms. He spent more time in his high school’s art room than any place else. Mi-chael graduated college with a degree in Graphic Design. His work has been published in Game Informer Magazine and Cosplay Magazine. He has done logos for many different businesses around the Ohio area. His paintings have been sold across the United States and Canada. He is also known for painting 30 murals in 60 days at a school in Cincinnati. Michael is a musician, a published author and currently has an art gallery store on Etsy where you can purchase his paintings as well as request commissions.

“Art to me is freedom at its core. Art allows you to express things that you want to say, how you feel, and what’s on your mind in that moment when you create, but most of all it is freedom from failure. You get to be completely free from anything that might hold you back. It’s your soul singing out. In that freedom, no matter what it is you create, you can do no wrong, it is beautiful, and it is yours.”
