Bio

“Born in South Korea, I have had various experiences in arts thanks to my mother who also majored in art and gave me many opportunities in arts. I read more Western art books than fairy tale books when I was young. Based on that experience, I used to enjoy painting with oil and watercolors. These experiences are great heritage and important memories in my life. When I majored in art in university, I was fascinated by “abstract expressionism” while exploring various art materials. During the study, I was immersed in abstract expressionist art, and most of my motif of workings was nature. After graduating art school, my research on the search for materials and on the spread of colors was continued, and I have made many workings with that inspiration. Even through there are no forms and drawings in my work, I have been expressing the rhythm and vitality of my paintings through color spread and paint dripping. The freedom of color selections and the harmony of colors increased the density of the work. I wish for many viewers to have their own feelings through my arts.
