Bio

My name is Katarzyna Barré, I am a Polish-French artist. I was born in Białystok, in north-eastern Poland. From an early age, I liked drawing and painting, so I did it a lot. My geography teacher noticed this and said that I have talent and that I should go in this direction. I listened to my teacher and now I'm grateful for her support. I passed to the Artur Grottger College of Fine Arts in Supraśl. After 6 years of study, I left Poland to discover the world and went to France. My artistic life went on as I continued to paint pictures and had the opportunity to do my first exhibition in Paris at the Mazurka restaurant, then a second exhibition in the same restaurant with little success. Then time passed and I moved to the Haute Savoie region, to Chamonix Mont Blanc. That was a revelation and a source of great artistic inspiration. After 13 years without practicing wood, I started carving again and started creating carved and functional furniture, while I continued painting and drawing. Meetings with photographers, carpenters and other artists in the field of computer and wrought iron work, which made my art project possible and is still being carried out because at the moment my work continues to develop. Recently, I had the opportunity to do another exhibition on July 11, 2021 at the "L'impossible" restaurant in Chamonix Mont Blanc. In 2021, I had a great joy to show my works in the magazine (number 10) Praxis Arte in Columbi. Later I took part in the competition "Peace in the world" organized by Enzo Marino in Italy in the city of Cardito next to Naples. Then I had the great joy of showing my works at the art fair in Lyon, France. It was my first fair and the impressions are still great and unforgettable. At the same time, it is with great joy that I give children painting and drawing lessons. This is my little artistic history and I hope it will develop and I believe that I will be able to implement my art projects that are close to my heart.
