This artwork is a culmination of 36 years of searching, defining and re-defining concepts and meaning from the act of drawing and painting using fundamental and basic materials, charcoal on paper, oil paint and wax on wood.
It will be difficult for the casual viewer to decipher the work without spending some time with each piece. With a bit of study, the artwork will reveal layers and imagery and mean-ing based on the viewers' individual outlooks, sensibilities, and perceptions. Although the images are basically abstract in nature, they are rooted in the human form from without, and human psychology within.
Aspirations, desires, fears, longings, guilt, hope and past transgressions manifested and suffered are all part of the tapestry that the artwork strives for.
