Bio

I wanted to be an artist by the time I was old enough to walk and talk. Recognizing my potential, my mother took me to painting classes by the time I was 6.
I am a native of Los Angeles. I completed two degrees in the Arts; one from UCLA in Painting & Graphics and the other an advanced degree from Art Center College of Design in Advertis-ing/Illustration, where I taught advertising design from 1990-1992.
I work in thematic series, which reflect how I feel about the subject matter. I use traditional tools like pen and ink and oils as well as an array of digital image-making tools
I use whatever medium I feel fits the project. I am extremely versatile in that sense. Although there may not always be material similarities between the different projects I’ve created, they are linked by recurring formal concerns and through the subject matter.
My current exhibition is called “Ocean in Motion” and it features large digital and traditional artwork in an immersive presentation designed to surround the viewer with a powerful, vibrant and colourful presentation of an underwater world. I am exhibiting 3 of the 12 paintings I’ve created for this series.
