Jaana was born in the heartland of Finland, nearby lakes and nature. She had discovered at a very young age to have a talent. Jaana knew she wanted to be an artist ever since childhood when she first found a human figure form. She started studying media design, audiovisual arts and creative writing. Later she shifted into fine art and found her way to the Mastery Program of Milan Art Institution. When she ascertained her voice to be related to the deeper magic of being human, the realization made her a professional artist.
As an artist, Jaana is technically multitalented. With her versatile process, she can turn her visions into a large variety of art. She can handle multiple mixed media styles as well as classical old masters oil techniques. That is why she is constantly painting two paintings at the same time, one with mixed media and other with old masters style. Currently, she is working in Helsinki, Finland. Her studio is compact and contains several working spaces with two easels and multiple art supplies like oils, acrylics, spray paints and inks. She is working as a full-time artist and professional writer with a scholarship. She is both a non-fiction and fiction author and her debut novel will be published in 2023. In the near future she will be an interesting voice in the field of contemporary arts, as well as literature.
Janna considers that impossible is only a state of mind and she believes that we are only limited by imagination. That is why she can transform her strong visions into anything. In her art she strives to make her vision come true through somewhat mystical ways. According to her, the journey of transformation through the experience of a magical art is the way of making the vision a reality and changing the perspective of the laws of reality can lead us to a better future. For her, art is energy driven by the creative light. I’m willing to expand my perspective, and transform the world by shining my light.
Her process is strong, bold, and definite at the same time. Splashing and dripping makes her happy. She fulfills her artworks with high energy. She enjoys mixed media, patterns, bright and powerful colors but also incorporating several different classic styles like oil painting with old masters style. She has a strong vision in her mind as she paints. She loves to leave evidence and a record of her marks and brushstrokes – the energy in which it was created is shown. She is not afraid of color, high contrast, edges with fluid, soft and drippy style, mark making or layering. And as she states “when looking at my artworks you will see a lot of variety and changes but my art still maintains my voice”.
