Meike Preusser born 1977 in Friedberg / Hessen in Germany. Meike lives and works in Büdingen / Hessen. After her school career, she trained as a retail clerk in a kitchen studio, after which she lived in Cologne from 1999 to 2002, where she continued to deepen her skills in the field of architecture. Drawing in perspective during her apprenticeship, she discovered her passion for drawing at an early age. She currently runs a kitchen studio that requires a great deal of planning sensitivity and a high degree of creativity. This required their full attention for a long time. But something was missing. In 2017 she spontaneously bought a canvas and paint and started painting. She learned all the techniques herself. The techniques Meike uses are very complex, as are her paintings. Meike's passion is abstract art. She prefers to paint with acrylic paints. For Meike, painting herself is like getting up in the morning and hugging the world. The colors with which she works and her works are life-affirming and friendly, but nonetheless with many facets and often a little bit crazy. "All of that has to be," according to Meike, "because everything is allowed in art and I want everyone to recognize something special in it."
