With a childhood fascination with zombies, horror and the undead in movies and video games, this piece explores those memories. As I began moving the paint on this canvas I slowly began to see a profile view of what looked like a skinless torso returning to life. It reminds me of the impending terror that comes right after a strong build of tension and anticipation in those said movies and video games. I embellished this idea to completion, and the end result is, “Body Rising.”
