Biography

I was born in Glasgow in 2001 and have been doing art my whole life, I started studying con-temporary art practice at city of Glasgow college in 2019. I grew up living with my mother, stepdad and younger brother. I do not have a good relationship with my birthfather, and I think that influenced my art a lot as well as
influencing how I thought about art as a way to calm myself and escape from the real world.

Artistic statement

I wanted to put my struggle with identity onto paper. I wanted to show how we as people have multiple identities and personalities, how we have one personality for family and friends, one for professional settings and another for ourselves to see. We can try our best to pull those per-sonalities apart but they will stay stuck together, overlapping and unable to be separate from one another.
