An art lover since my youth, a compulsive visitor to museums, galleries and other exhibition spac-es all over the world for many years, I was bound to pass one day on the other side of the fence. I finally started painting in 2017, at the age of 66, an auspicious number in Chinese numerology as the number 6 is associated with happiness, ease and fortune. And since then I devote a little more time to it every day.
From the start, I opted for abstraction because creativity can be freely expressed there. Abstrac-tion and freedom are intimately linked. And it was obviously my thirst for freedom that drove me to devote myself almost exclusively to abstract painting. Freedom for the artist, but also for the art lover who also enjoys absolute freedom to perceive or interpret the work he looks at according to his very personal sensations and feelings. This is why, like many abstract artists, I do not give a title to each work but only a number : I want to leave the visitor complete freedom of interpreta-tion at first glance.
I have lived many lives, exploring very different fields, and I reproduce the same model in abstract painting, exploring very different tracks under the influence of multiple cultures. And I'm going to tell you a secret : my "holy grail" is to find processes that no one has yet experienced...
