This Screen Print explores feelings of reminsinse and melancholy. I had created the work after spending my summer break and Christmas with my beloved gran at her beach side home. I was thrust straight back into the hussle and bussle of University work, and all i wanted to do was flee my stresses and go back to her tropical cosy abode. The work depicts a sense of longing for a tropical escape. The subject illustrated embodies feelings of nostalgia. They are thinking back to warm moments, with the gradual realisation that those memories are now the past. Time to snap back to reality! The work is a U/S (Unique State) print, with an edition of 5.
