Alexandra was born in Canada where she developed an interest in the arts from a very young
age. Her grandmother and other members of her family also painted and served as mentors and
inspiration during her upbringing. As a student, she took part in a specialized arts program and
later completed a Bachelor's degree in Communications. She spent her early twenties exploring
different careers, but ultimately found her way back to painting. Following her move to the United
States, she launched her business ‘Akia Studio’ and is now working as a full-time artist.
Alexandra finds inspiration from her life travels, nature and the NYC art scene. She will be
hosting her first solo art exhibition entitled ‘Exploration; diving into mediums’ in Connecticut on
June 19th, 2021.
