Bio

Toby Vignati is a young Photographer who graduated from ITSOS Albe Steiner in Milan, he Works as a second photographer for events and as an assistant. He also experiments with historical photographic printing techniques, in particular Cyanotypes and Van Dyck, all of these prints go to build a project called Daybreak.
Daybreak photographs are printed on high quality paper, they are unique fine art prints, because even if reproduced using the same technique no two prints will ever be identical. Like a tree with a contemporary crown and roots in the past, the project is an attempt to put modern equipment and ways of taking photos in communication with a printing technique, and therefore the creation of the final art piece, which goes back in time to the dawn of photography. In a certain sense, the two ends of the history of photography are inserted into the final photo. The slow, meticulous, pre-visualization process necessary to achieve a satisfactory result makes the single print, and therefore the single photo, unique and personal.
