Bio

Jaz Zuniga Jaz Zuniga (Jacqueline Alissa Zuniga) is a contemporary artist, designer, and art dealer based out of both Los Angeles, California and Fort Myers, Florida. This LA native centers her fine art around the concept of the silhouette and combines its imagery to express the emotions behind cross cultural interaction and feelings of abject. Sometimes she will include Mesoamerican motifs in order to highlight notions of global coexistence. Although these concepts are what she intends, she wants the viewer to delve into the works to find their own conversation about the visuals presented to them. While earning her bachelor's degrees in Fine Art and Art History from University of California at Santa Cruz (and the University of Cambridge, UK) Jaz was introduced to the incredible realm of theater arts. She has completed numerous scenic and production designs for plays and shows at multiple venues including the world famous Rita Hayworth theater in Los Angeles, California. Previously, aside from creating her artwork, she has worked as an international art dealer for 6 years. She traveled to over 37 countries, absorbed international cultures, and assisted people in understanding the importance of art; and its inevitable impact on everyday life and society. Jaz has dedicated her life to the education and creation of art so that she may construct a small oasis of beauty in a world of confusion.
