Akane established herself as a commercial motion graphics designer. 2021, however, marked a change in career direction after she was chosen as the artist of the month at Art Jobs last Novem-ber. Since then she's been invited to exhibit her digital prints and experimental videos in multiple venues. Her interviews and work have also been featured in art publications and websites. One re-current theme in her art is the multiverse. She explores the idea of other versions of herself existing in other branches of reality at this very moment in time. Her work infuses futurism and ancient my-thology with bizarre alternate realities. She examines how our common ancient heritage shapes dis-tant future possibilities. She finds inspiration from influences as varied as classic science fiction novels, cyber punk movies, particle physics, the ancient world and most importantly, her own pas-sion for travelling and making her own personal discoveries along the way. Her fate is not set. And just as we learned from one classic science fiction movie; "The future is not set."
