Technique: Wood panel, Acrylic paint. Thin boards and timber are pasted together to create wooden panels. They were cut out with an electric thread saw, the gaps were filled with putty and shaped with a file.

The image expresses a sense of distance, both near and far, lit by the sunset in a mixture of pinks and oranges. Inspired by the colours of the sunset over this famous surfing town in Japan, with its many old shrines and temples, I let my characters relax freely on the grain of the trees and colour them with the light of the setting sun.
I tried to create a nostalgic image of Kamakura and Shonan, where I live.
The theme expresses a feeling of ruggedness.
