"Un regalo” depicts a woman portrayed from behind, whose naked back we see, while her hands hold her hair up. Against the dark background, fast, layered and not compact brush strokes are distributed, from which the image of the woman's white back emerges in strong contrast. Around her, a series of small details, writing, clippings and pictorial interventions of various colors, give the overall image a dreamy and unreal sense. In fact,Sharon defines her work as a form of "introspective self-portrait" coming from her deepest being. In the artwork, in fact, we can see that all the elements distributed on the canvas tend to reproduce her deepest thought, that irrational part that is inside us and that is accessible only to a few. Despite this, the result is of great visual and compositional balance with whichSharon blends her ideas: each of her artworks is an experience, a way of catharsis within the limits of the subconscious mind, always trying to be as authentic and organic as possible.
