Tero Porthan I'm an artist from Finland, illustrating Finnish mythology and folklore: creatures, spirits, gods, the undead, based on old poems and spells used by ancient shamans. I've studied graphic design and worked in 3D, animation, illustration, graphic and web design. I have painted my whole life and for the last few years I've been focusing on bringing Finnish mythology to life in pictures, with my wife Tiina Porthan who does the background research on the old spells and poems. Our aim is to make this amazing, magical tradition known worldwide.
