Bio

Sylvie is a visual artist based in Launceston, Tasmania. She is a figurative and expressive artist working predominantly in mixed media.
She began painting full time 15 years ago after her two beautiful children were born.
Over time Sylvie has developed a unique signature style that depicts vulnerability and emotion in her subjects. She explores these themes within the layers of paint and collage elements that she utilizes. 'Rites of Spring' embodies this multilayered process and describes an enigmatic character laden with melancholy curiosity.
Sylvie has had the opportunity to show her work in both solo and group exhibitions throughout Tasmania. She is also involved with community art events and theater in her home town of Launceston.
She looks forward to participating in the exciting new art event "Orizzonti Traversali", organized by M.A.D.S. Art Gallery, Milan. This show offers both artists and audience an opportunity to experience an exhibition in a fully digital format. Sylvie is thrilled to be a part of the show!
