Lexie Sipmann grew up surrounded by art and design, with both parents being accom-plished illustrators and painters. She received her BFA in graphic design at the Atlanta College of Art and is a successful art director for many clients in Atlanta, GA.

She has discovered that she loves the freedom of creating art for herself and explores that as a mixed media artist. Her work is bold, expressionistic and spontaneous. She cre-ates her work often without a plan in mind, letting her intuition that lead the way. Explora-tion of both creating and deconstructing layers through collage produces more surprises in the discovery process. She has found that trusting the process and not expecting an outcome yields more authenticity.

There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique, and if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium, and be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, not how it compares with other expression.
