Marie Anne Decamp Marie Anne Decamp, now part of the abstract expressionism mouvement, is an artist who expresses herself spontaneously and freely through contemporary painting, realized according to her inspirations. Born in the seventies, a period of time , particularly appreciated by the artist, for the freedom of creativity that it symbolize d. A unique atmosphere, which she could still experienced in the nineties , during extended stays in California. The atmosphere from which, is still in the heart of her works today. She began Law School studies in English Law , where it became obvious that she had a different calling. She made her first extended stay in San Diego California. Living in a local bohemian beachside community for many months which transformed her established beliefs. A former project of art school in Paris had then, fade away for a thirst of discovering others parts and cultures of the world, and meanwhile becoming a self taught artist through time. Her first exhibition had occurred in Evian-les-Bains, in the 2000s, as a visual artist, presenting what she calls now, TheVintageCollection. Now, currently living outside of Paris, In Picardie, she has an art studio to immerse herself in creation. Being a full time artist, she participates to several art exhibitions in Val d’ Oise, and has been encouraged by some great sales and appreciations of her works. Her art, abstract, being contemporary and sometime s urban, is feral and refined, with a whisper of spirituality, into a universe combining authenticity, personal vision, contextual and aesthetic. TheBlocksSerie collection, a lyrical geometric character type of painting, emerged in 2018, a series well appreciated and still produced by the artist today. Painting which shows great texture. The artist uses acrylic the most, often bright colors, mortars and various mediums, and works with painting knives, spatulas, brushes and others tools, mostly on quite big size canvas. Recently, she has started to create a new collection called TheElements serie. With fluorescente dominance, and painted on cardboard and medium with acrylic, this ensemble is born beginning of 2020. Especially inspired by her participation to a Parisian art show in the Marais, end of 2019, which had given her a taste of renewing and a sens of heightened modernity and innovation. The message expressed by Marie Anne Decamp in her art, is an invitation to contemplation, to self-searching and to life journey experience in a unique contemporary context. Life, love & rock is her leitmotif.
